ARTIFICIAL
IS NOT A FLAVOR

Our Country Store

Welcome, Locavore!
If you have made the commitment to "Eat Local" or take the "100 Mile Challenge" we would love to help!
We offer homegrown farm products: wool, milk, eggs, honey, wax, fruits, veggies and meat.
We practice humane, sustainable, pasture-based farming.
We are not organically certified, as we have opted out of government farm management programs.
Our philosophy is to raise heritage, hardy stock in harmony with the natural seasons so as not to require any artificial or chemical support. Our lamb is exclusively grass-fed on pasture, our chickens not only free-range, but actively forage for their food. We make every effort to attract beneficial insects to the garden, use no herbicides or pesticides, and use natural compost for fertilizer.

"Artificial is not a flavor"
Here is a sample of what we have to offer...but we are happy to consider other products to meet your needs!

Laying Hens
Would you like to raise your own food?
Laying hens are a great place to start. Nothing compares to farm-fresh eggs. Check your zoning, then check with us for availability.
You will not need a rooster to keep hens laying. Laying hen $15.00 Contact us
Brooding Hens
Sadly, many heritage breeds have lost the instinct to brood. If you would like to raise chicks without resorting to artificial incubation (which perpetuates the problem), may we suggest using a breed that loves to brood to hatch your rare breed eggs? We raise Silkies, just for that purpose. They come in a variety of colors, and make wonderful pets. Pair of Silkies $30. Contact us for availability.

Goat's Milk for pets
Pet milk fresh from the goat, raw, filtered, quick chilled in quart glass jars.

Lamb, Pork, Chicken and Turkey are sold live, and delivered directly to the processor. The processor will contact you for instructions on cuts, and give you a pick up date from his shop. All processing fees are negotiated between you and the processor. All of our animals are treated and processed humanely. They are free-ranging, pasture raised on the farm. In most cases meat must be contracted early in the year. Raising animals under humane practice means not overcrowding. Contact us in advance if you would like for us to raise an animal for you, as our pasture density is limited. Pork contracted January - March is generally ready for processing in September. Poultry requires up to six months. Lamb contacted in May is generally ready for processing in September.
Natural Beeswax
Commercial beeswax doesn't "hold a candle" to this! You can still smell the honey in ours. There are hundreds of uses for beeswax!

Arek sells beeswax by the 1 ounce bar. Each bar is $1, plus shipping.

Honey
Arek's Honey has won blue ribbons at the fair! Available in very limited quantities.
Wool
Raw, unprocessed wool for felting, spinning, handcrafts. Icelandic Sheep, Llama, and Chiengora. Contact us for availability.

You can have a piece of our dream!

We've been blessed with an old farm, and the renovation that comes with it.

We've discovered timeless treasure - buried metal, rusted barbed wire, old barn wood...and can't bear to throw away the history. So we've repurposed it.

You can add a little of our country charm to your home in the form of wreaths, baskets, signs, wall hangings, Christmas ornaments and whatever else we (or you!) can think of.

Each piece will come with a "letter of authenticity" and a "deed" to that little piece of country.

If you have a custom job in mind - or would prefer their dad's more refined skill on your project, we would be happy to accomodate you.
