Our breeding rams are for sale.
We select for the triple purpose qualities that made
Icelandic sheep attractive to us:
milky lines in the ewes above and below them
good muscle development for meat carcass
quality fleece
horn development, homozygous genotype
even temperament
Rams that do not display all of these qualities
are culled, not sold.

Introducing GRIZWOLD...
We are thrilled to have acquired "Griz", a mature ram (2005) with genetics new to our flock. We have seen his offspring, and are well impressed with his work! He has an exceptional disposition, calm and respectful. He is grey mouflon, carrying spots. Introduced with two ewes of his original flock, Fiona and Frieda. Will likely see white, mouflon and spotted lambs from him. Quick Sheep Links:

SULLIVAN 04T Sullivan is a 2007 lamb from Khalid (the first ram in the slideshow) and Lizzie. Carrying the fabulous horn genetics of both - he is a coming two year old in this picture...and his horns are WIDE. He is well put-together, has a sweet disposition, and is a beautiful grey mouflon (love the eye stripes!!!)
Sullivan was awarded GRAND CHAMPION RAM both as a yearling and a two-year old at the North Idaho Fair. In 2009, he also won First Place Special Premium, Overall Grand Champion Sheep Class, All Breed, All Sex. Introducing MONTY "Red Earth"...
Monty is an '09 Ram lamb that will be coming to us from Flaunt Your Fleece Farms in Oakland, Oregon. A horned grey moorit twin with lines to BAMBI, HYNKILL, STIKILL, and ASKJA. Hoping for some moorit lambs next spring! Monty was awarded a blue ribbon as a lamb against breed standard ath the North Idaho Fair in 2009. He is very promising.
We will likely keep a WHITE TRIPLET out of Frieda for the first part of the season...have not yet decided which, to increase the white line in our flock. |
