POLLY 06M
This girl's got it all! Beautiful conformation, sweet disposition, fantastic mothering skills. We love her heavy fleece, enormous rumen (she had already delivered in this picture!), and balanced udder. She also has the wide horns we have come to love. She is a grey black. Lambing record: 1-2-1 WKR EWE M2H 67J
We call her Elizabeth, Lizzie for short. She is one of our "granny" sheep. A grey moorit, well put together, with wide horns, great mothering skills, and "Miss Congeniality." Her lambs are every bit as sweet as she is. Lambing Record: 2-1-2-2-2-not bred- We are hoping for one more breeding from Lizzie, our flock matriarch, after a rest this year. She is in beautiful condition going into the summer, after a very hard winter. She will be bred late if her condition is good through early winter. SOPHIE 02T
Sophie is our "welcome wagon." She is very affectionate by nature, and has a striking appearance with her swept striped horns and hooves. She is a twin to ram SVAR 03T. Milky! Lambing record:1- GRAND CHAMPION EWE North Idaho Fair 2008 PLF EWE URSULA M2H 1S SOLD
She is a big girl, and we expect some heft from her line. She is a grey moorit with gorgeous fleece. Her horns are swept, rather than wide. Pictured here with her handsome breeding quality ram lamb ENDER on her first lambing. Milky! Line traces to SKJANNI. She has singled on her first two lambings, but her lambs are huge, with rapid growth! Lambing record:1-1
SASHA 05T
A twin to SULLIVAN, and Lizzie's daughter, Sasha has it going for her in the personality department. As a yearling, Sasha presented us with a dry, nursing ewe lamb - a grey mouflon carbon copy of herself! Milky, gentle and friendly, with amazing horns. Lambing record: 1-1 She is not going to like this picture...taken right after shearing
and she is carrying triplets...This gal is meaty, milky, fleecy...
and carries the THOKA gene. Lots of triplets and quadruplets.
Her registration is just now complete, so we have no record of
her previous lambings - but we can tell you we are happy with
this year's! Lambing record: - 3 - Quick Sheep Links:

In our breeding ewes we select for the triple purpose qualities that made Icelandic sheep attractive to us:
we also value
Ewes that do not display all of these qualities
are culled, not sold.
Frieda has an exceptionally silky bright white fleece that she passes on to her lambs...when her lambs are white! This year she offered us mouflon twins, which will be added to our flock. Acquired with GRIZWOLD and FIONA Her registration is just now complete, so we do not have a full record of her previous lambings. Lambing record: - 2-
We are in the process of restructuring the flock to include only horned Icelandic sheep. Introducing the new lineup of young ewes,
replacing the polled ewes that have moved to Colorado... PLF EIRA B4H 6U
Eira is a 2008 ewe out of one of our favorite lines...not far removed from the original importation. She has a lovely fleece, but look how stunning she is underneath! She carries moorit. Lambing record: 1- Another 2008 ewe, from one of the matriarchs, HILDA. A black Badgerface, carrying genetics for solid as well. Fleece has gorgeous spiral curl. Milky! Lambing record: 1-
A solid black twin out of Lizzie, Eustacia also carries moorit. She has nice wide horns and is way too friendly to be a sheep. We do not have a lamb to credit to her, but expect great things in her future. Awarded Grand Champion Icelandic Ewe as a yearling, against breed standard at the North Idaho Fair, 2009.
We will be retaining:
NYAH
NATASHA
and NADJA
from our '09 lambs
