Farm Visits

Spend a day on the farm!
Would you like to see how things are done on a working farm?
We welcome farm visits by appointment. There is lots to see and do...
Milk a Goat!
You can try your hand at milking a goat...
and take some home for your kitties -
or feed the barn cats...
Hunt for eggs...
Collect eggs from our chickens or ducks...
have farm-fresh omelettes for dinner!

Pick fresh produce from the garden.
See how vegetables grow!
You can also pick herbs to dry for tea!

Harvest fruit right from the tree!
Cherries, plums, pears and apples in season.
We also have an old-fashioned cider press
that you can use to make juice!

Work with wool from our sheep or llamas.
We'll show you how it is spun into yarn,
and let you try...
you can even try felting too!

We have several trails to hike with the llamas...
you can even pack a picnic lunch,
and the llamas will carry it for you!

All of our animals love affection...
if you prefer a petting tour,
they would love to accomodate you!

There is no "charge" for our time on a farm visit,
rather we prefer that you compensate the animals for theirs...
We'll ask that you bring a sack of feed to thank them for their hospitality!

Please call ahead to schedule your visit
and plan your activities, if you would like an interactive tour.
Many of the things that happen on a farm are scheduled (such as milking)
or seasonal (such as picking apples.)
We can help you find a time of day -
or season that best fits the experience you are hoping for!
