We specialize in Icelandic and Soay sheep, both primitive, hardy breeds. Geared to the needs of the novice hobby farmer, we offer information, support and mentoring as well as quality foundation breeding stock.
The Farmer’s Prayer
As I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord
My farm to keep.
Bless the sheep, the pigs, the cats,
The spider’s too, the bees, and gnats,
The ducklings, sparrows, and the hens,
And even coyotes in their dens.
May my flocks in splendor graze
And all live peaceful, perfect days.
Watch over us, protected, whole,
And bless this farmer’s happy soul.
Spring is Here! The lambs are scampering on the hills, the grass is finally greening after a winter of record snowfall, daffodils are blooming - and the bees are busy! The ducks are sitting their nests, hoping for a May hatch, it's a glorious time on the farm! Of course Spring is also when farm overhauls begin...deadfall trees must be cleared, fences repaired, slash piles burned, but it is so good to be outside, who can grumble?
